Our Strategy
The time is NOW
We’re in the midst of a national spiritual awakening and revival. Jesus is reaching GenZ in astonishing numbers, and they’re showing up to churches in droves. If God is going to move like this, then we need to keep up through our church planting efforts.
Our First Step
Every audacious goal requires its first step. Here is ours…
1. We’re planting 120 churches across the country by the end of 2027.
Our Second Step
To accomplish this, we are raising an initial injection of funding:
2. We will raise $3.5 million for “liftoff”.
Our Third Step
We’re attempting something that’s never been done by a church planting network:
3. We’re giving away our first three $500,000 facilities gifts as a pilot program.
How do we help new churches?
Three Gaps Every Church Planter Faces
-
Before the church planter launches, they need to raise funds. Many church planting organizations focus on coaching church planters how to get their first service started, but almost none teach a church planter how to raise money.
-
Once the church starts, the planter needs coaching on how to build systems so the church can grow. They also need funding. Church plants tend to reach lost and unchurched people. It often takes this new congregation three years to become financially self-sustaining.
-
Around year four or five, the church plant reaches peak momentum. People are flooding in the doors, but the church is still gathering in a temporary space. This is the moment where most young churches get stuck. They often do not have the financial resources available to buy and renovate, or build a facility. The back door of the church starts to open wide, and people leave as fast as they come in.
We solve the three gaps through tiers of partnership:
-
These church planters go through a fundraising school. They are then able to partner with their denomination, or another church planting organization to gain matching funds. Through this process, it is not uncommon for our planters to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for their new church. Tier 1 partners are also given access to three years of coaching on their internal systems.
-
These church planters have undergone an extensive, 39 point assessment process. If they score at least 32 points on the assessment, then they are given $2,000/month to support their church budget for the first three years of their growth.
-
These churches have been in existence for several years and have now hit “peak momentum”. They’ve grown to at least 300 people in attendance, and if they can get the right facility, they will explode in growth. We come alongside them with a $500,000 gift (not a loan) to help them acquire the right facility.

Our Formula
FUNDRAISING COACHING
We train church planters how to raise money. Many people are gifted pastors and evangelists, but they’ve never been taught how to raise the money for their new ministries. We train planters how to appropriately fund their ministries from day one.
EARLY FUNDING
We provide $2,000/month for up to three years for a new church ($72,000 in total). This funding sustains the budget of the new church in the early days while the tithes and offerings slowly grow. The church agrees to invest 5% of their tithes and offerings back into the 99 Network until they’ve “recycled” the money they’ve been given.
SYSTEMS TRAINING
We teach new pastors about the systems and processes that will scale their ministries. We host a monthly zoom call on topics like board development, pastoral care, hiring new staff, discipleship systems, financial management, etc. Pastors who join us will have the tools to help their churches grow.
MAJOR GIFT
The biggest struggle a church plant ever faces is the transition from a portable facility into a permanent home. We provide a major gift at the moment when a church is launching their first capital campaign to acquire the right facility. This gift will be $500,000 and it is not a loan - it is a gift designed to propel the new church into long-term, sustainable ministry.
